Local4All Quick Tour - Page 4

Forms and Special Tools:

Using forms to collect information goes far back in history, more recently in the computer world and most recently on the Internet.  We don't claim novelty in that respect.

What we do differently is aiming to be high quality on the Internet for the masses.  We respond to the community needs we observe, also to user suggestions for improving the quantity and quality in what we offer..

SURVEY SHOWS:

Our #1 request - MORE PICTURES!

Our "Photo Upload" tool allows digital photos to be uploaded directly to our site and be partially processed along the way through automated custom software we put together.  Along with your pictures, we present a form for you to include captions and short stories about memorable moments and special places. Watch for links that say "Upload Photos".

#1 Complaint About the Internet:

Broken links!

Fewer of them
here!

The "Town Cop" tool enables the public to be a valuable and welcome part of our self-policing effort.  Website visitors who have become trusted volunteers and, in some situations, people we don't even know (yet!) are able to clean out and replace broken links on our site. They can also delete unsavory content and get-rich-quick schemes from public areas, if and when those occur.  Two of our major goals are to ALWAYS be family-friendly and child-safe!

While the quality of uncensored self-publishing cannot be guaranteed because of its very nature, it can be visibly improved by having more helping hands (and minds) as long as "fixing" is more fun than complaining.  You can practice when you're ready - "Nowheresville" is a fictional "Walking Tours" link that we invented for our Town Cop's target practice. Happy hunting!

Needed: a hero or two.

If you like a challenge, take a look at our list of tours with broken links and see if you can find any of them on a new website. Ed Bosco of Claysville, PA, was our Hero #1 when he found Pittsburgh's new site and we were able to substitute a new link for the old! Thanks, Ed!

Another Hero is Chris Dovey and East Pennsboro HS of Kentucky for finding a broken link for Henderson! Thanks, Guys!
